Chocolate Chocolate Company expands product line beyond its 12
retail locations.
St. Louis
–
Nearly one year after going into all 23 Dierbergs Markets bakery
departments, Chocolate Chocolate Chocolate Company has expanded its
product line to new gift shops, hotels and specialty stores across
the United States.
In July of
this year, Chocolate Chocolate Chocolate Compay officially created
its wholesale chocolate division after 9 months of strong sales
inside Dierbergs. The wholesale division streamlined the product
line and has allowed the company to focus on more attractive
packaging. A separate wholesale website (http://wholesale.chocolatechocolate.com)
was also created that features the growing 40 product catalog. The
website also has a secure section for active customers to access and
download all the resources they will need to be successful in
selling chocolates.
Since last
year, the Heavenly Hash, Molasses Puff, Chocolate Caramel Popcorn,
Malted Milk Balls, Pecan Tootle Assortment and Samplette Assortment
have all received product makeovers due to the increased volume of
sales. These top selling items have been transformed to stand out
in any type of retail environment.
As early as
the middle of July, the wholesale team at Chocolate Chocolate
Chocolate Company started selling chocolates to select local gift
shops and stores, however calls from across the country started
pouring in every day. Moving out of the St. Louis market faced a
new logistical challenge however after successfully signing several
new accounts all the kinks had been ironed out. Dan Abel Jr. of the
wholesale department stated “it is amazing to see how much the
company has grown in the last 10 months through our new wholesale
division. To think that just one year ago we did not even have any
of this new business is truly a milestone for the company.”
The Company
plans to expand its product line into new markets as well as opening
additional retail stores. “We feel that we will really gain
strength in new markets if we open retail stores and have our
product in the local gift shops, grocery stores, and retail” said
Dan Abel Jr.
ABOUT
CHOCOLATE CHOCOLATE CHOCOLATE COMPANY:
Chocolate Chocolate Chocolate Company began manufacturing premium
hand made chocolates in 1981. Prior to the company's opening,
founder Dan Abel spent over a decade training with the finest candy
makers in the world. His apprenticeship taught him everything there
is to know about making premium chocolates in small batches. Some
of the recipes used today come from old time candy makers dating
back to 1904.
The original candy kitchen is still in operation today at the
headquarters in St. Louis, Missouri. Although the company has grown
from one location to over a dozen retail stores, the same time
honored methods of old fashioned candy making are still in place.
Copper kettles mix the creamy centers that are then cut by hand
after sitting on a chilling table. The centers are then enrobed by
our meticulous candy makers, who inspect each piece before it leaves
the candy kitchen. Most importantly, the chocolates consumed by
customers are usually made the day they were purchased. There is
nothing like a piece of chocolate the day it was made.
