introduces a chocolate covered version of America’s favorite
snack cakes…the Twinkie!
Since 1930,
Twinkies have been on the minds of Americans looking to cure their
sweet tooth. Twinkies are not just a vanilla icing filled snack
cake; rather they are an American icon. President Clinton even put

Nearly half of a billion of those little yellow Twinkie cakes are
consumed by Americans each year too!
Chocolate
Chocolate Chocolate Company put its creative talent to work in its
candy kitchen and decided to chocolate cover them! Chocolate
Chocolate Chocolate Company founder, Dan Abel created the idea after
seeing his other chocolate covered classics such as pretzels, oreos,
graham crackers, Rice Crispie Treats, and Twizzlers become big
sellers for the company. Abel responded that “At first we tested
the Twinkies at just two locations, as customers saw this new item
they were buying 2 or 3 at a time.” Word of mouth spread like
crazy, people were coming in every day asking for the Twinkies, just
days after we first started making them. Now all Chocolate
Chocolate Chocolate Company locations are covering these Twinkies
with our fresh milk chocolate. “We have found that our milk
chocolate complements the Twinkie very well” remarked Abel.
Everyone remembers Twinkies as their favorite lunch box snack
growing up as a child, now think of that delicious cream centered
cake drenched in chocolate by Chocolate Chocolate Chocolate
Company.

Chocolate Chocolate Company has introduced many new chocolate
products in the last year including chocolate covered caramel
popcorn, chocolate covered Twizzlers licorice and chocolate covered
pretzel rods sprinkled with bits of butter toffee, while maintaining
its full line of chocolate novelties, boxed chocolate assortments,
premium truffles, hand made chocolates, and its signature items such
as Molasses Puff, Solid Chocolate Breakup 2 Lb. Special,

Chocolate Chocolate Chocolate Company began manufacturing premium
hand made chocolates in 1981. Prior to the company's opening,
founder Dan Abel spent over a decade training with the finest candy
makers in the world. His apprenticeship taught him everything there
is to know about making premium chocolates in small batches. Some
of the recipes used today come from old time candy makers dating
back to 1904.
The original candy kitchen is still in operation today at the
headquarters in St. Louis, Missouri. Although the company has grown
from one location to over a dozen retail stores, the same time
honored methods of old fashioned candy making are still in place.
Copper kettles mix the creamy centers that are then cut by hand
after sitting on a chilling table. The centers are then enrobed by
our meticulous candy makers, who inspect each piece before it leaves
the candy kitchen. Most importantly, the chocolates consumed by
customers are usually made the day they were purchased. There is
nothing like a piece of chocolate the day it was made.
