Bloomfield Township –
Plum Market, the
Midwest’s premier purveyors of natural, organic, specialty and local
products has introduced a new chocolate line to its full-service grocery stores.
New to the stores are fresh chocolates including Heavenly Hash (a
combination of marshmallows, almonds and chocolate), chocolate
covered Twizzlers licorice, chocolate covered mini-pretzels,
chocolate covered caramel popcorn, chocolate bark (a thin layer of
nuts and fresh chocolate), and many other unique confections. All
the products are manufactured by St. Louis Chocolatier, Chocolate
Chocolate Chocolate Company.
Chocolate
Chocolate Chocolate Company who has been manufacturing and retailing
chocolates since 1981, has just started expanding its product line
outside its St. Louis market this year. “Plum Market has been a gem
for us; they have been great to work with and are a perfect fit for
our product line” remarks Dan Abel Jr. of the wholesale department
at Chocolate Chocolate Chocolate Company. Since Plum has become a
customer, there have been two in store samplings of the chocolates.
Each one was a great success. “We feel that Plum Market and
Chocolate Chocolate Chocolate Company have established a strong
relationship and we are excited to work with them in the future”
said Abel.
Chocolate
Chocolate Chocolate Company will spend all of next year focusing on
expanding across the United States. The company’s 12 retail stores
are currently located in St. Louis and Illinois stretching about 100
miles wide. The company’s franchise division, Abel’s Chocolates,
plans to open Chocolate Chocolate Chocolate Company retail stores in
neighboring states and eventually go nation wide.

Chocolate Chocolate Chocolate Company began manufacturing premium
hand made chocolates in 1981. Prior to the company's opening,
founder Dan Abel spent over a decade training with the finest candy
makers in the world. His apprenticeship taught him everything there
is to know about making premium chocolates in small batches. Some
of the recipes used today come from old time candy makers dating
back to 1904.
The
original candy kitchen is still in operation today at the
headquarters in St. Louis, Missouri. Although the company has grown

honored methods of old fashioned candy making are still in place.
Copper kettles mix the creamy centers that are then cut by hand
after sitting on a chilling table. The centers are then enrobed by
our meticulous candy makers, who inspect each piece before it leaves
the candy kitchen. Most importantly, the chocolates consumed by
customers are usually made the day they were purchased. There is
nothing like a piece of chocolate the day it was made.
