September 13, 2006:
Chocolate
Chocolate Chocolate Company is Opens in Edwardsville, Illinois.
Chocolate Chocolate Chocolate Company
celebrates the opening of its 13th store in Edwardsville,
Illinois on September 12th, 2006. Its Edwardsville
location is unique because not only is it inside the Edwardsivlle
Dierbergs Supermarket but it also has a candy kitchen inside the
grocery store so customers can see chocolate being made while
checking out. Although most of the Chocolate Chocolate Chocolate
Company franchise stores are located inside Dierbergs shopping
centers, this is the second store that is actually inside
Dierbergs.
Chocolate Chocolate Chocolate Company, founded
in 1981 in Saint Louis, Missouri has expanded from the original
Chippewa location to now its 13th store in Edwardsville.
It will also open a 14th location in Wentzville later in
the fall, creating a 100 mile radius of all of its stores. This
means that nearly everyone in the greater St. Louis area is only a
short drive from picking up their favorite chocolates. Specialty
items include fresh Chocolate Covered Strawberries, Heavenly Hash,
Molasses Puff, Boxed Chocolates, Premium Truffles and hundreds of
Chocolate Molded Items all made fresh daily.
ABOUT
CHOCOLATE CHOCOLATE CHOCOLATE COMPANY:
Chocolate Chocolate Chocolate Company began manufacturing premium
hand made chocolates in 1981. Prior to the company's opening,
founder Dan Abel spent over a decade training with the finest candy
makers in the world. His apprenticeship taught him everything there
is to know about making premium chocolates in small batches. Some
of the recipes used today come from old time candy makers dating
back to 1904.
The original candy kitchen is still in operation today at the
headquarters in St. Louis, Missouri. Although the company has grown
from one location to over a dozen retail stores, the same time
honored methods of old fashioned candy making are still in place.
Copper kettles mix the creamy centers that are then cut by hand
after sitting on a chilling table. The centers are then enrobed by
our meticulous candy makers, who inspect each piece before it leaves
the candy kitchen. Most importantly, the chocolates consumed by
customers are usually made the day they were purchased. There is
nothing like a piece of chocolate the day it was made.
